Accounts of its origins tend to include the phrase "it just kind of stuck". Anyway, I think that it offers far more direction - in this case "good" isn't quite the opposite of "evil". It was about "evil" in the sense that people say Microsoft is evil. Everyone at Google already knew what they did want to do ("Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.") This was about reminding them what to avoid along the way.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17470833006574237098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815640431651173676.post-72528033242694196382008-04-16T10:21:00.000+01:002008-04-16T10:21:00.000+01:00Absolutely. But the positive message would be both better pr and offer more direction to teams.David Cushmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09626601471173841299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815640431651173676.post-59561438391601592252008-04-16T09:07:00.000+01:002008-04-16T09:07:00.000+01:00I agree.. too much negative words in that motto.
