I must admit that I don't often look to Al Jazeera for my news and commentary on international issues. The implication that new technology will put that "everyman" component into sharing of ideas and information is a compelling one. Of course, in the West, we don't have ANY problems with media trying to shape what the public "should" think when it comes to social issues (smell the sarcasm?).
